Kayley Quick

Creator + Creative Director

Kayley Quick is a Flagstaff artist, muralist, public educator, and interdisciplinary performance-maker with a twenty-year history in the city’s circus and performing-arts community.

She created Robot Apocalypse and acts as its primary world-builder. Her work inside the universe includes creative and art direction, illustration, visual identity, character and storyline development, writing, performance, show organization, performer coordination, production planning, promotional media, projection content, video editing, and maintaining the larger project archive. Kayley also performs as the Queen of the Robots.

Kayley’s role is less a single position than a connective system: she develops the fictional world, translates it into images and live scenes, brings collaborators into the process, and keeps the handmade, theatrical, comic, emotional, and technological parts of Robot Apocalypse speaking to one another.

Doug Quick

Logistics Director + DJ

Doug Quick brings extensive experience in live music, event production, touring, booking, and venue operations to Robot Apocalypse.

He has managed bands and tours, created festivals, booked venues, worked as a talent buyer, and run two production companies. He currently leads SUN Entertainment at Northern Arizona University.

Within Robot Apocalypse, Doug directs logistics, helps curate the music, performs as a DJ and character, and supports the complicated work of turning an expanding fictional universe into a functioning live event. Onstage, he is most notoriously recognizable as the supreme villain cowboy tech bro Randy Reboot.

Carlie Nannini

Mistress of Mayhem + Co-Director

Carlie Nannini is a longtime circus and performance artist whose work moves between live spectacle, prop-making, large-scale characters, and creative troublemaking.

She performs hula hoops and stilts; builds giant puppet robots and illuminated cosmic cacti; generates ideas; communicates with the performance community; and assists with storyline development, co-direction, and performer management.

Carlie has toured with The String Cheese Incident as a resident stilter and circus-arts performer. Inside Robot Apocalypse, she helps translate ambitious ideas into physical objects, live characters, and coordinated creative action.

Dapper Dre / Android Dre

Narrator + Performer + Command Voice

Dre has been a central figure in Robot Apocalypse since the first production in 2015.

As Android Dre, he serves as narrator, performer, command voice, and a recurring human-machine presence connecting the audience to the unstable world unfolding onstage.

Video + Sound + Stage Design

Spotlab joined Robot Apocalypse for the 2022 Yucca North production.

Jared Wooden and Spotlab have contributed across live sound, lighting, video, visual playback, and stage design—helping connect the project’s handmade performance world to its increasingly complex technical systems. Spotlab is a Flagstaff- and Denver-based production company and event consultation collective serving the Southwest, with work spanning lighting, video, staging, design, coordination, and booking.

Momentum Aerial

Aerial Arts + Rigging Collaborator

Momentum Aerial has been a major collaborative asset to Robot Apocalypse, providing rigging support, connecting the project with performers, and helping aerial work move safely from an ambitious idea into live performance.

The woman-owned Flagstaff studio teaches silks, trapeze, lyra, pole, and rope through progression-based training focused on technique, strength, safety, encouragement, and creative growth. Its deep investment in Northern Arizona’s aerial community has brought both practical knowledge and extraordinary performers into the Robot Apocalypse universe.

The Orpheum Theater

Flagstaff Venue Collaborator

The Orpheum Theater hosted the large-stage Flagstaff productions Modifications & Co-Creations in 2023 and Worlds & Wastelands in 2024.

The independent, locally owned downtown venue combines the intimate character of a historic theater with modern sound and lighting capabilities. Its stage has presented local and national artists, films, and community events for generations.
